STUDIO CITY, CA –– June 27, 2018 –– Jason Kassin, CEO of FilmTrack, will receive the 2018 EMA Scholarship Foundation Honors Award for his service to the community. The award will be presented on Tuesday, July 17 during the Entertainment Merchants Association (EMA) Los Angeles Entertainment Summit at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Kassin is being recognized for his work on behalf of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.

“It’s a Kassin family – and FilmTrack family – tradition to give back to the community in ways large and small,” says Kassin. “The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is dedicated to helping patients with these life-altering diseases via research, education, support, and advocacy. They have a measurable impact on people’s lives, and it’s been an honor to help draw attention to their cause.”

Kassin and his wife, Sasha, became involved with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation in 2011, a few months after their son, Conrad, was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Since then, Kassin and his family have been active volunteers for the Foundation. They’ve raised over $100,000 to date to help find a cure. Kassin joined the Los Angeles Board in 2016, and Sasha followed in 2017. This past January, Sasha became the President of the Board for the Greater Los Angeles Chapter.

About Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation
The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Since our founding nearly five decades ago, the Foundation has remained at the forefront of research in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Today, we fund cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurture investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finance underdeveloped areas of research. In addition, our professional education workshops and programs, along with our scientific journal, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, enable medical professionals to keep pace with this rapidly growing field.
