STUDIO CITY, CA (June 22, 2016) – On Sunday, June 26th, The FilmTrack team will be participating in the 8th annual Take Steps Los Angeles Walk. The Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis walk is the nation’s largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. Many patients have only ever met a handful of other patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) – this is a unique opportunity for them to meet hundreds of IBD patients, families, and supporters from your own backyard.
Walk day is an incredible experience filled with live music, food, kids’ activities, and educational materials.
For the 1.6 million Americans who suffer from the debilitating effects of IBD, nothing is more important than finding better, more effective treatments, and ultimately, cures. Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is a 4-star charity that is near to the heart of FilmTrack CEO, Jason Kassin.
“My son, Conrad Kassin, was diagnosed with Crohn’s 7 years ago. It’s been a journey that he embraces with grace and élan. He’s gone through surgeries, rigorous medical treatment – including IV infusions every 8 weeks, and every known diet and solution offered by eastern and western medicine. Yes, he does acupuncture too!“
Starting at 10am at Tongva Park located at 1615 Ocean Ave Santa Monica, Take Steps will celebrate the hard work and dedication of a community consisting of patients, loved ones, friends and supporters who inspire each other to continue the fight against these diseases. Last year, FilmTrack raised close to $35,000 and looks to beat that mark for 2016.
