Getting Ready for TIFF '23 & IBC: A Celebration of Creativity and Opportunities

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and IBC are quickly approaching and promise to electrify September with cinematic enchantment and insightful glimpses into the revolutionary technologies and business facets driving the media industry. FilmTrack will have teams in attendance and is excited to see what this year brings. A lot is happening at both events - we dive into highlights here:

The Dates:

TIFF23

The 48th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival takes place September 7th - 17th. TIFF is reported to attract over 300K people annually and operates out of the Bell Lightbox in Downtown Toronto.

IBC2023

IBC, or the International Broadcast Convention, will be held at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in Amsterdam from September 15th - 18th. The IBC is in its 56th year and expects around 37K+ attendees.

Although some disruption in attendance may occur this year, TIFF and IBC both expect to hold their events as planned. 

#TIFF23 Highlights 

Last year, the festival underscored the power and significance of streaming platforms. The pandemic had catalyzed a major shift towards streaming, and TIFF22 proved the trend was here to stay. The event witnessed heavy buying from major streaming platforms, reinforcing their role in the new era of cinema. As we look forward to TIFF23, along with the hundreds of films that will be featured, we expect an even more diverse representation of streaming giants.  

#IBC2023 Highlights    

IBC is where the industry comes together to do business, network, learn, discover the latest innovations and technology, and prepare for the year ahead. A few session highlights we're looking forward to include:
